Sonia Stocco is a Remedial Massage Therapist with over 20 years experience. From her first weekend massage workshop she felt drawn to the healing power of massage. “If everyone had a regular massage the world would be a very peaceful and joyous place,” Sonia says.
This is what motivated her to continue her training and dedicate the rest of her life to this healing art form. By learning and exploring a variety of modalities she brings a wealth of skills to each session. With her years of experience Sonia tailors each treatment to the uniqueness of the client.
Remedial Massage Therapist
“We are all affecting the world every moment, whether we mean to or not. Our actions and states of mind matter, because we are so deeply interconnected with one another.”
She offers Remedial Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Bowen therapy, Myofascial Release, Pregnancy Massage, Reflexology, and Reiki. Sonia has worked in clinics around Melbourne and overseas as well as run her own massage and mobile business for many years.
More recently her work also includes Somatic Emotional Release (SER), studied through Upledger Institute, incorporating her Craniosacral skills, it allows for going deeper into the treatment and seeing how emotions and core beliefs cause physical dysfunctions in the body. This unveiling of the emotional causes and deep unconscious beliefs, allows deeper healing to occur and can breakthrough physical pain and barriers.
This is truly one of Sonia’s greatest passions. “If we took the time to go to the core of our feelings and upsets, we would be living in a world reflecting more love and peace as we would be living from a very authentic place,” she said.
Sonia also incorporates a number of inquiry tools and her intuitive nature to achieve this unique massage treatment. It is a very gentle and unveiling process going only as deep as the client feels comfortable with.
Sonia loves to ride her bike, swim in the sea, go for walks in the forest and share her love of Marshall Rosenberg's work, Nonviolent Communication.
“My goal in life is to laugh, love and live an expansive full life!”

“What I want in my life is compassion, a flow between myself and others based on a mutual giving from the heart.” Marshall B. Rosenberg Ph.D.
Compassionate Communication is based on the work by Marshall Rosenberg, “Nonviolent Communication. A Language of Life.”
Sonia has been facilitating groups for over six years in Compassionate Communication, and her passion for compassionate conflict resolution has led her to this work. She explores this through the consciousness and lense of Nonviolent Communication in a safe and fun environment. Sonia offers 10-week courses and weekend workshops. She is passionate about social change and working with our thoughts, behavioural patterns and how we interact with each other, which has led to her facilitating this work in prisons.
Sonia continues to undergo training in Nonviolent Communication and is offering one-on-one Compassionate Communication Coaching. This work helps to understand what it is we need and what new strategies and solutions may be open to us.
